Who can become an Affiliate
Membership in JSKF is open to all types of traditional shotokan karate-do organizations.
This includes commercial, educational and governmental entities. Members may be either for-profit or
not-for-profit organizations. All members are expected to uphold the highest standards of training
and conduct as expected by JSKF.
How to join JSKF
Here are the steps an organization needs to follow for applying for a membership:

Fill out the Membership Agreement. Have the agreement
signed and dated by an individual having the appropriate authority in
your organization. The request for affiliation/membership agreement form can be downloaded from here.

Arrange Payment method. Payment, in US Dollars, must
arrive within 30 days of the Membership Application. The JSKF
Registration fee is $150 (one time payment) The Membership fee is
$50/Year, due in January of the calendar year.

Timeline and conditions
Your application will be processed by Sensei Namiki personally.
Before your organization will be accepted as a full member in JSKF, a temporary membership may be
granted, for up to 12 months.
During the temporary membership period, your organization must invite Sensei Namiki and/or other JSKF
officials to a seminar organized by one of your organization's DOJOs. The seminar request form can be downloaded from here.
This is required by JSKF, in order to fully evaluate the quality of the training/conduct in your
organization.
